In coin collecting, the condition of a coin is paramount to its value; a high-quality example is often worth many times more than a poor example. Collectors have created systems to describe the overall condition of coins. One older system describes a coin as falling within a range from "poor" to "uncirculated". The newer Sheldon system, used primarily in the US, has been adopted by the American Numismatic Association. It uses a 1–70 numbering scale, where 70 represents a perfect specimen and 1 represents a barely identifiable coin.

The generally accepted scale of adjectival descriptions and numeric grades for coins (from highest to lowest) is as follows:^[5]

Mint State (MS) 60–70: Uncirculated
About/Almost Uncirculated (AU) 50, 53, 55, 58
Extremely Fine (XF or EF) 40, 45
Very Fine (VF) 20, 25, 30, 35
Fine (F) 12, 15
Very Good (VG) 8, 10
Good (G) 4, 6
About Good (AG) 3
Fair (FA, FR) 2
Poor (PR, PO) 1

Several coin grading services will grade and encapsulate coins in a labeled, air-tight plastic holder. This process is commonly known as coin slabbing and is most prevalent in the US market. Two highly respected grading services are the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). However, professional grading services are the subject of controversy because grading is subjective; coins may receive different grades by different services or even upon resubmission to the same service. Due to potentially large differences in value over slight differences in a coin's condition, some commercial coin dealers will repeatedly resubmit a coin to a grading service in the hope of a higher grade. The grading services came into being (PCGS being first) in an effort to bring more safety to investors in rare coins. While they have reduced the number of counterfeits foisted upon investors and have improved matters substantially, the goal of creating a sight-unseen market for coins remains somewhat elusive.

Damage of any sort (e.g. holes, edge dents, repairs, cleaning, re-engraving or gouges) can substantially reduce the value of a coin. Specimens are occasionally cleaned or polished in an attempt to pass them off as higher grades or as uncirculated strikes. Because of the substantially lower prices for cleaned or damaged coins, some specialize in their collection.

It means I (and my associates) personally collect these item. Our collectable item are all in good condition regardless the normal effects of time on an unused book that has been protected.

Library Discarded
It means the item were discarded from several libraries due to their policy.

New Book
It means I (and my associates) personally bought the item to sell it on eBay

List of used book conditions

Booksellers use standard terms to describe the condition of the used books that they sell. The specific meaning of each term can vary with the individual seller but broad definitions are widely understood.

As New is self-explanatory. It means that the book is in the state that it should have been in when it left the publisher. The is the equivalent of Mint condition in numismatics.
Fine (F or FN) is As New but allowing for the normal effects of time on an unused book that has been protected. A fine book shows no damage.
Very Good (VG) describes a book that is worn but untorn. For many collectors this is the minimum acceptable condition for all but the rarest items.
Good (G) is (as an old bookselling joke has it) not very good. It is used to describes the condition of an average used worn book that is complete.
Fair shows wear and tear but all the text pages and illustrations or maps are present. It may lack endpapers, half-title, and even the title page.
Poor describes a book that has the complete text but is so damaged that it is only of interest to a buyer who seeks a reading copy. If the damage renders the text illegible then the book is not even poor.

There is no standard term for books in a condition below poor. Their normal fate is to be discarded or to be broken into individual pages if these have any value.

In practice, most booksellers and collectors code their books at a condition slightly higher than is strictly applicable.

Non-Standard Letter

With the Reclassification of Mail Products, the Small Packets category has been reclassified as Non-Standard Letter.

The definition of Non-Standard Letter is the letters up to 2kg that do not conform to the Standard Mail criteria. Non-Standard could be in shapes other than rectangular and might contain items such as CD, diskettes, and the envelope would also be in materials other than paper.

The category only applies to domestic delivery.

Features Of Non-Standard Letters

Mail that contain objects such as compact disc and cassette.
Mail that has irregular shape.
Mail that uses plastic envelope, poly-wrapping and sheeted envelope.
Mail that exceeds 6mm thickness.
Card folded in two.
Mail sealed with stapler or metal clips.
Mail using dark colour, glossy or oily envelopes
Envelope that does not have a blank space of at least 15mm from the base of the envelope.
